HISA Calls for Research on Furosemide as Potential Performance Enhancer in Horse Racing
HISA has issued a request for proposals to research furosemide, or Lasix, to determine if it acts as a performance-enhancing drug in racehorses. This study will inform regulations on the drug’s usage. Responses are due by October 15, 2024.
